The fastest way to experience Konjic. A full day on the emerald Neretva, one night in town, and a Cold War bunker tour the next morning before you leave.

Two days of pure adventure: Prenj, then the emerald Neretva. Unlike Konjic Escape, Weekend includes coordinated late checkout after rafting — shower, repack, and enjoy town without rushing straight from the river to the door.

The complete introduction to Konjic. A Prenj summit, Cold War history underground, and the emerald Neretva to finish — three days that cover nature, culture, and adventure.

Three mountains, three days, three distinct characters. Prenj's dramatic ridges, Čvrsnica's high plateaus, and your choice of Zec or Bitovnja to close.

Everything Konjic has to offer in four days. Two mountain summits, then the emerald Neretva as your reward, and a cultural close with bunker and lake boat trips.

Rafting & Bunker Tour, 2 Days / 1 Night
Arrive in Konjic, check in, and head straight to the river. The Neretva rafting route covers 23 kilometres of emerald rapids, deep gorges, and crystal-clear pools — guided by certified professionals who know every current. You'll navigate Class II-III rapids through canyon walls that tower above you, stop for a riverside lunch midway, and finish the afternoon stretches with adrenaline still running. By late afternoon you're back in town, sun-tired and ready for a slow evening.
Free evening in Konjic old town. Walk the Ottoman bridge, find a riverside restaurant, and enjoy a well-earned Bosnian coffee.
Your morning starts with a piece of history that most visitors to the Balkans never see. ARK D-0 — Tito's nuclear bunker — is hidden beneath a mountain just outside Konjic. Over 6,000 square metres of blast doors, decontamination chambers, command rooms, and communication centres built in secret over two decades. Your guide takes you through the heart of this Cold War relic, where Yugoslavia's leadership would have sheltered during a nuclear strike. After the tour, depart Konjic or extend your stay. Checkout follows your hotel's standard morning window — this itinerary is built for a full two-day hit of river and history, then onward travel.
No prior experience needed. Rafting on the Neretva suits most adults and older children. The bunker tour involves walking on flat underground surfaces — accessible to all fitness levels. Minimum age: 12 (with parent). Basic swimming ability recommended for rafting but not required — life jackets provided.
Hiking & Rafting, 2 Days / 1 Night — late checkout included
Your Konjic weekend begins with the mountains. An early start takes you to the Prenj trailhead, where your certified mountain guide sets the pace. You ascend through Bosnian pine forest, break through the treeline into alpine meadows, and push toward the summit ridge. The views open up gradually — the Neretva canyon below, the Čvrsnica massif across the valley, and eventually a 360° panorama from the top. The descent follows a different route when conditions allow. Back in Konjic by evening, legs tired, spirit high.
Celebrate your summit over dinner in Konjic old town. Walk the Ottoman bridge, find a riverside restaurant, and rest up for tomorrow.
Day two is your reward — the emerald Neretva River. After a morning briefing at the rafting base, you'll navigate 23 kilometres of rapids, gorges, and crystal-clear pools with certified guides who know every current. The canyon walls rise around you as you move through Class II-III rapids — exhilarating but accessible. A riverside lunch breaks up the day before you tackle the final stretches. By late afternoon you're back in Konjic, sun-tired and satisfied — the perfect finish to a weekend of adventure. Late checkout keeps your room into the afternoon when the property can accommodate it, so you are not checking out at dawn after a full river day.
Use your late checkout: slow lunch, a coffee by the Neretva, time to dry gear and pack — then leave Konjic when it suits you, not straight off the boat.
Good general fitness required. Day 1 (Prenj hiking) involves 8-10 hours on trail with 1,200m+ elevation gain — previous hiking experience strongly recommended. Day 2 (rafting) suits most adults — no experience needed. Minimum age: 16 for Prenj (with parent), 12 for rafting.
Mountains, History & River, 3 Days / 2 Nights
Your Konjic introduction begins with the mountain that gives this town its reputation. An early departure gets you to the Prenj trailhead while the air is still cool. Your certified mountain guide leads through Bosnian pine forest, alpine meadows, and exposed ridge terrain. The summit push rewards with a 360° panorama that makes you understand why locals call this the "Bosnian Himalayas" — peaks stretching to every horizon. The descent uses an alternative route when possible. Back in Konjic by evening, legs tired but spirit soaring.
Celebrate your summit over dinner. Local restaurants serve grilled meats, river trout, and Bosnian coffee.
Day two is your recovery day — physical rest, mental stimulation. ARK D-0, Tito's nuclear bunker, is one of the most significant Cold War sites in Europe. Built in secret over two decades, it was designed to shelter Yugoslavia's leadership during a nuclear attack. Your guide takes you through the blast doors, decontamination chambers, command rooms, and communication centres. The scale is staggering — over 6,000 square metres hidden beneath a mountain. The afternoon is yours: explore the bunker galleries at your own pace, return to Konjic for the old town and river, or add the Konjic Woodcarving Museum on the Mostar road — UNESCO-listed living craft in an award-winning wormhole-style gallery (~45–60 min, own entry ~10 KM) — then the Old Stone Bridge and a Bosnian coffee. We help you pace what fits.
Easy evening. You have a river day tomorrow — rest, eat well, and look forward to the reward.
The final day is the celebration. After a demanding mountain day and a cultural recovery, you finish with the emerald Neretva. The rafting route covers 23 kilometres of rapids, deep gorges, and tranquil pools. Your certified guides handle the safety; you handle the paddle. The canyon reveals itself gradually — Ottoman bridge ruins, cliff faces, and water so clear you can see the riverbed metres below. A riverside lunch mid-route. By late afternoon, you're back in Konjic having experienced the three pillars: mountain, history, river.
Final evening in Konjic. Farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
Moderate to good fitness. Day 1 (Prenj hiking) is the most demanding: 8-10 hours, 1,200m+ gain — previous hiking experience recommended. Day 2 (bunker) involves walking but no significant physical demands — a planned recovery day. Day 3 (rafting) is accessible to most adults — no experience needed. Minimum age: 16 for Prenj (with parent), 12 for rafting and bunker.
Mountain Explorer, 3 Days / 2 Nights
Your mountain trilogy begins with the most dramatic peak in the region. Prenj is the "Bosnian Himalayas" — sharp limestone ridges, exposed terrain, and summit views that stretch across all of Herzegovina. Your certified guide leads from the trailhead through Bosnian pine forest, across alpine meadows, and up the final ridge to a 360° panorama. The elevation gain exceeds 1,200m and the full day takes 8-10 hours. This is the benchmark day — the one that sets the tone for the days to follow.
Return to Konjic. Refuel at a local restaurant and prepare for tomorrow's summit.
Day two takes you to the Čvrsnica massif, home to peaks over 2,200m including Veliki Vilinac. The terrain is different from Prenj — broader ridges, high-altitude meadows, and a feeling of walking through the roof of Bosnia. Your guide selects the route based on conditions and your fitness from Day 1. Elevation gain is typically 900-1,100m over 7-8 hours. The summit rewards with views across the Blidinje plateau and down to the Adriatic haze on clear days.
Evening in Konjic. Compare summit notes from two very different mountains.
The final day offers a choice. Zec is part of the Čvrsnica range — glacial lakes, rolling meadows, and moderate terrain that delivers stunning scenery at a more forgiving pace (~800m gain). Bitovnja is the quiet option — lush forest, wide meadows, and almost no other hikers. Your guide recommends based on your energy, weather, and what you want from the final day. Both deliver a satisfying close to three days in the mountains above Konjic.
Return to Konjic. Three peaks, three characters, one mountain region.
High fitness required. Three consecutive full-day mountain hikes with significant elevation gain (800-1,200m+ per day). Previous multi-day hiking experience is essential. Day 3 can be adjusted to a moderate option (Zec or Bitovnja) based on energy levels. Minimum age: 16 (with parent for Prenj/Čvrsnica), 14 for Zec/Bitovnja.
The Full Experience, 4 Days / 3 Nights
Your complete Konjic experience starts with the mountain that defines this region. An early start gets you to the Prenj trailhead. Your certified mountain guide leads through forest, alpine meadows, and exposed ridgeline to a summit with 360° views across Herzegovina. Elevation gain exceeds 1,200m; the full day runs 8-10 hours. The Prenj is the mountain that gives Konjic its reputation among hikers — this is where you earn it.
Well-earned rest in Konjic. Celebrate your first summit over dinner at a local grill.
Day two offers two paths. Option A: Čvrsnica mountain hiking — peaks over 2,200m, high ridges, and a completely different mountain character from Prenj. A full day with 900-1,100m gain. Option B: a leisure morning in Konjic — the old town, the river, a coffee on the bridge — saving energy for the river tomorrow. Your guide will help you decide based on your energy from Day 1.
Evening in Konjic. Rest up — the river awaits tomorrow.
After the mountains, day three is the celebration. The Neretva River rafting route covers 23 kilometres of emerald water, canyon gorges, and rapids that range from gentle floats to Class III excitement. Certified guides run the safety; you paddle through scenery that most tourists in Bosnia never see. A riverside lunch mid-route. By late afternoon, you're back in Konjic — sun-tired and grinning, the perfect contrast to the mountain days.
Relaxed evening. Walk the Ottoman bridge, find dinner along the river.
The final day combines two lighter activities for a fitting farewell. Morning: ARK D-0, Tito's nuclear bunker. Two decades of secret construction, 6,000+ square metres under a mountain, blast doors and Cold War command rooms. Your guide brings the history alive. Afternoon: Jablaničko Lake boat trip. The transition from underground concrete to open water, Prenj reflected in the lake, mountain views from the water — it is the contrast that makes both experiences more vivid. A gentle close to four extraordinary days.
Departure or one last evening in Konjic.
Good to high fitness. Day 1 (Prenj) is the most demanding — 8-10 hours, 1,200m+ gain. Day 2 is flexible — Čvrsnica is demanding if chosen, or leisure if you prefer. Day 3 (rafting) suits most adults. Day 4 (bunker + lake boat) is the lightest day physically. Previous hiking experience recommended. Minimum age varies by activity: 12 for rafting/bunker/lake boat, 16 for Prenj (with parent), 14 for Čvrsnica.
Your group has a private apartment to itself in central Konjic — minutes on foot from the old town, the Neretva, and the rafting meeting point. The apartment sleeps 4–5 with a kitchenette, private bathroom, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi, and the whole space is yours for the trip. Store gear how you like, plan early starts on your own schedule, and decompress between activities without sharing a hallway with anyone else.
